Rights, Not Rescue: Sex Work Decriminalization Will Benefit All

The demand from sex workers around the world for decades has been for rights, not rescue — and yet a growing movement to abolish sex work is not listening.

by LibertiesEU
Sex work isn't just about enslavement and trafficking. This ignores the realities of so many women who just want to be able to work safely, freely and without stigma. They want rights, not rescue.

But are we ready to listen? To create a safer environment for all, we must stop criminalizing the purchase and sale of sex work.

For the health and safety of all involved, it's time to act.

Watch and share this Open Society Foundations video featuring advocate Kate McGrew if you want a future in which sex workers “live and work with dignity, free from stigma and violence.”
